Good News

In this Sunday’s Gospel we are reminded that Jesus brings Good News to everyone.

We can all at times be blinded by selfishness or jealousy, be prisoners of guilt or worry, or be oppressed by bad habits. Jesus has come to set us free, to help us to renew our relationship with God and to enrich our relationship with each other. We continue to spread and share Good News as a school as it is alive today and for us all, even on these cold January days.

Another great week has passed by in a flash. Once again it has been very cold and I am pleased to see that not too many hats, gloves and scarves have been left around the School unloved. I have asked the children to take more care and pride in the School       environment as sometimes items can be left for someone else to pick up (I’m sure this sounds familiar in your own homes). Please can I remind you to put names in all items of clothing that come into school. With this is mind Children are not permitted to climb on the hill surrounding the yard at the end of the School day. Your support with this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Next week, we have two classes on School trips on Monday. Both Y4 and Y6 look to have very different, but equally exciting trips planned. Year 4 please remember to bring a packed lunch for that day. Year 6 will be provided with a lunch at Inspire2Learn. On Thursday the Children will be having their School photograph session. Please can all Children be in full smart School uniform to make the best opportunity for their photo. (I have noticed some trainers creeping into School- remember that pupils should be wearing smart black shoes).

In two weeks, it is Safer Internet Day. This year’s theme is ‘Together for a better Internet’. The aim of Safer Internet Day is to inspire a national conversation about using           technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively. All classes will look at an age appropriate way of sharing key messages with the children about how we can be safe whilst online. I will also be delivering a special themed assembly on that Tuesday morning. I have attached a ‘fun things to do’ list on page 2 of this Newsletter,  but encourage you all to follow the following link:

Thank you for your support and have a great weekend.
