In this Sunday’s Gospel we are told of how Thomas did not believe in the risen Jesus until he saw this with his own eyes. We often, like Thomas may have doubts, but we should be assured that when we do doubt, Jesus is still truly close to us all and ready to help us believe.
It has been a pleasure to return back to School after such an amazing Easter break. The children are all working hard and getting back into the swing of things. Another busy term of activities have been planned. You should all be receiving Class Newsletters in the next week that will detail the content of the curriculum for this term. Also I am sending out the RE plans for this term with some key dates.
The highlight of the week has been the launching of our new Fruits of the Spirit rewards. Ask your child how many of the nine fruits of the Spirit they can remember (especially Y1-6).
Can I take this opportunity to thank all families for their support of the optional Summer Uniform. The children look good in their more comfortable uniform as the weather has finally warmed a little this week. Please can I remind you that trainers and sandals are not to be worn at any time. Can we also please try to make sure that children with longer hair have it tied back for health and safety reasons, and that the wearing of earrings is no longer permitted in school.
PTFA Summer Fair Message: VOLUNTEERS The main thing we need to make the Fair a success is lots of help on the day. In order to run each of the stalls for the 3½ hours we need around 50-60 volunteers. We also need help on the morning of the fair, to set up and move tables outside, and afterwards to tidy up. If you can spare some time to help, or you know anyone who can, please put your name down. If we don’t have enough volunteers, then we won’t be able to run all of the stalls. Some stalls require two people for each time slot so if you would rather do your time with a friend or relative, then please let us know and we will ensure that you are kept together. As always, each class will be doing a performance, and we will make sure that if you volunteer to help, that you will still be able to watch your child.
Please follow the school twitter feed—we have lots of exciting updates on there; @stpaulinus.
