As a school we take safeguarding very seriously. We work closely with our parents to make sure that safeguarding is a priority of the school.

We have enlisted the services of a safeguarding consultant who takes part in termly supervision visits (last completed June 2016) and a biannual Safeguarding Audit tool (completed June 2015).

Training & Updates:

All staff have received the WRAP Presentation training from Annette Duff in February 2016 to assist them with the Prevent Training schedule. In September 2016 all staff completed the online Channel General Awareness Training.

In September 2016 all staff have been briefed on the latest update to the Keeping Children Safe in Education Document. This has led to an updated safeguard policy which is available below.

Keeping Children Safe in Education Sept 2016

This session was led by Mr Pete Davies who is our Education Safeguarding Consultant. He has many years experience of working with schools in the Local Area and visits the school on a termly basis to carry out safeguarding supervision visits. He also undertakes a full audit of all safeguarding procedures every two years. The school last had this audit completed in June 2017 and a copy of this and the previous report is below.
