Hope

In this Sunday’s Gospel, we begin to celebrate the season of Advent. Advent is the season of hope, culminating in the celebration of the birth of Jesus, which brings us the good news that we are loved unconditionally. Embrace the joy of Advent and your family relationships as we prepare ourselves for the birth of Jesus Christ.

It is a busy time for us all as we start to prepare for the Christmas festivities. Please take the time to read the newsletter and make note of all the dates included within it.

Prayer is often overlooked during advent so each class is inviting parents to a stay and pray session in the last two weeks of term. These are either at drop off or pick up time and are an opportunity to pray and for the children and staff to lead their class in a moment of quiet prayer and contemplation. The dates for each class are as follows:

11/12/18 2.40pm Y1, 12/12/18 8.50am Y3, 14/12/18 8.50am Y5, 17/12/18 8.50am Y6

18/12/18 8.50am Y4 & FS1, 19/12/18 8.50am Y2, 20/12/18 8.50am FS2.

Please try and make it of you can.

PTFA Christmas Fair: FRIDAY 7th  DECEMBER 2018 – 3.00pm to 5.00pm

To help us make the Fair a huge success, we would like to request donations for some of our stalls: Children’s Tombola – always a huge favourite, so please can you help us by sending any suitable prizes in to School – small toys, sweets and children’s stationery items are ideal

Adult’s Tombola – bottles, toiletries and confectionery

Cake Stall – please send in any cake donations in on the day of the Fair, they will be gratefully received

Raffle – do you have any suitable donations or know a local company that may donate?

HELPERS NEEDED – as always our events need helpers to help during the fair and to help tidy away at the end. If you can help in any way we would really appreciate it, please let the school office know or contact any of the PTFA Members.

I hope you have a lovely weekend and enjoy the countdown to Christmas with

your families.
